I know people love to debate this but what a crime if people think they are saved and they aren't. For years I thought that I had nothing to worry about because I was saved at a very young age but
then I turned my back on God for years.What if I had died during this time.Would I be burning in hell?
It has been about 8 years since I came back to God and I feel so fortunate to serve a God that gives second and third etc chances. My God is awesome and its no greater feeling in the world than to know that you are promised eternal life. Jesus died for me so that I could have eternal life, death has no sting because upon my death the doors in heaven will be opened, Praise God!
I think its important to remember that even the devil believes in Jesus but his eternity will be spent in hell not heaven. Even Satan's demons recognized who Jesus was before He cast them out of people during His ministry on earth.
Jesus wants us to believe in Him but also to serve Him and love Him.How can you believe in the person who died for you and not love Him.How can you love Jesus and not follow Him.
Matt 24:13......the love of most will grow cold but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.-------does that not make you wonder what happens if you don't stand firm.
John 15:6 If anyone does not remain in Me he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.------again this makes me want to make sure that I am following in Jesus' footsteps every day.
WE are saved by God's grace not by our works but that doesn't mean we have a free ride.If you have wandered away from God ask Him for forgiveness and follow in Jesus' footsteps all the way to heaven's door.

Hey Everybody,
This is my first blog post and not knowing exactly what I am doing I hope that people consider my idea a good thing. What I thought would be great if we could just use blogstream as a place where we could just debate scripture. I am a born again Christian who believes in Jesus, I believe He is the Son of God, He died for us on the cross and three days later He arose. Yes Jesus defeated death and now we can have eternal life in Heaven if we believe and follow Him. The Bible is God's Word and I believe every word in it is true.
Now the fun part-I enjoy studying God's Word but I don't always understand everything I read and from talking to other people I think others have the same problem sometime. Why couldn't we just write down what we don't understand and get responses from whoever has an idea. Here are some examples of what I am talking about,Christians love to debate once saved always saved,how about pre-trib or my position pre-wrath,or here's a good one in Romans 11:25,26 God has hardened the hearts of Israel until the fullness of the gentiles comes in and then it says all of Israel will be saved, are we talking about only the Jews who survive until the end of the world or something else, this one really confuses me.
Anyway this is my idea I hope somebody out there likes it, maybe we could actually help somebody by doing this. Again this is my first blog if I have done something wrong or if somebody has some suggestions let me know.
